Mine used a 6024 7" headlamp. I converted to Xenon lamps. Got them from Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000F4D06W

I guess you therefore have the choice of both 7 inch or 7.7 inch depending upon the look and type of beam etc that you prefer, and of course upon cost and availability of headlamps and rims.

Related to your query. My XK 120 FHC was equipped with 7 Inch sealed beams. I recently elected to change them to (much later) authentic Lucas PL-700s which fit perfectly. In my opinion they are equally as attractive (if not more so) as the 7.7 Inch Lucas PF-770. You can expect to pay approx $250 and up per headlamp for reproductions for either model.
