Hi,Am about to send off all my 140 dials etc for restoration and it strikes me it may just be cheaper to buy replacements? Has anybody had experience of this? My gauges are in barn find condition so the ultimate cost of restoring them is as yet unknown. Hi All, Quick and probably dumb question as I thought I had this straight and now am confused. Just about to finish rebuild of my XK140 SE engine and the question has arisen as to what colour we should paint the head. I don't have a C type head (which of course should be red). If you want to benefit from this site I would suggest you start by contacting ROBERT RICHARDS (British Columbia, Canada) as he is restoring an identical XK 140 OTS and doing the work himself. Another member from the UK in Essex is David Wright who owns an XK 140 FHC. You'll be able to find many more that will be happy to offer assistance or help. Help can also be found by using the Forums.
