New entry for your XK150 files
Please note my own XK 150 fixhead coupe S.E. 3,8l blue head to complete your lists. The car ist just near completion to take the road in may. ( This year) I have just renewed wirings, ancillaries, with a view to keep the car with all his patina since this car has been maintained years after years. Genuine colors are sherwood green with suede hide . Seats has been renewed with Connolly leather naturally. The car is registered with all matching numbers by Jaguar's Heritage. It's a rare 3,8l…

Pictures
I share with you pictures of my dad's Jaguar. He bought it in the mid 70's and restored it. However, it was unfortunatelly not very well taken care of and was left quite exposed to the elements. It ended up needing a second restoration which is now in progress.
It is a XK120 Modified Coupé, with serial number S680098 and engine W6120-9S.…

I am looking for a good engine machine ship in the mid-Atlantic area of the USA. I need: bore-honing, valve guide K lining, valve seat replacement and some minor water jacket weld up and machining on the head. Can anyone give me a pointer please,
Mike

Thanks Rafe for the welcome
And thanks for the links. I have a hard copy manual but the electronic version will be handy. I will take your advice and ask a few people to be friends as although my XK has been restored in the 90's it still needs work done to the suspension involving replacing bushes, etc amongst other things. I have a plan of attack from the book but if I strike any complications it will be good to ask someone with experience.

New to XK's
I have been advised that joining this network is the best way to seek help and advice in maintaining and finishing my new XK140. The car had a body off full restoration in the mid 90's and has since done about 29,500 miles. whilst it has been well maintained and had continual work on it it will still need quite a few small things done to it over the coming months, new dust boots to the steering ball joints, new choke cable, the timber work around the windows re veneered and fitted, etc.…

update on the restoration project
Below are a few photos when the car was finally shipped back to the UK after a few years in Spain where the so called restoration specialist did nothing...apart from take my money!!
The bonnet wasn't in primer when it was transported and so when it rained the bonnet picked up a little surface rust. But since these photos were taken it's had a coating of rust protects to stop it progressing any further.
The car is in storage for the winter and in the spring I shall carry on…
