Achieved quite a bit of progress during February 2010 including replacing the boot floor, restoring the boot lid and refitting, a lot of work done on the RH side rear wing including panel beating and replacement of much of the top mounting edge which was rusted away. Also managed to restore the instrument panel and remount the instruments which were already restored by the previous owner and restore the Fuse Box and make a new metal base as the old one was badly rusted. on new cars, almost all were equipped with the special distributor rotor shown below that limited the engine revs to under 2700 RPM. The engine would cut out if you tried to exceed that. With this gadget top speed is about 60 MPH. After completing the "running in" period you would take your Jag in for servicing and the technicians at the Service…

This Jaguar Mark 9 presently being offered on eBay might go down in the Guiness Book of Records as the WORST investment ever made in a vintage vehicle. If the Seller is telling the truth $527,000 must be a record. Adding insult to injury the vehicle has been modified from a 3.8L to accommodate a 4.2L engine (??). Now the asking price is $74,500 or
OFFER. Its been on eBay before with no takers. Click on the link below the picture to go…

The activity list says that I just updated my profile. Actually, I didn't. I was trying to change the main page back to however it was before because it's now displayed black and can hardly be read.
So what happened and can I change it?

When an old Jaguar dies does it go to Jaguar Heaven? Is there such a thing called Jaguar Heaven? Yes, very much so. Honest! Cross my heart there
IS a Jaguar Heaven filled with old Jag souls. Its a place located in Stockton, California on a 3 1/2 acre facility where old Jags REST IN PIECES. So if your old Jag dies on you (or you own one that is dead) and you are looking to revive, resurrect or resuscitate the poor thing you might…

This is a search engine that lists the cars for sale in North America. I have added the E-Types and the XKEs that are for sale on the

E-TYPES and one for…

Article in
BLOOMBERG February 18, 2010 . Very narrow minded article that leaves a gaping hole in the Collectible Car Market as there is no mention of British Cars such as Aston Martins, Rolls Royce, Jaguars etc

You have to hand it to the British for being so speed obsessed. It started with the Jaguar XK 120 that reached a speed of 132.6 MPH. Then in 1997 a new speed record of 763.035 MPH shown in the video below breaking the sound barrier and shattering the US record of 630.389 MPH. Awesome to watch.

Somebody should start a "Hug your Jag Mechanic" week. The next time you have to pay a tune-up or repair bill on your vintage Jag, pay it with a smile. Count your blessings, pat your mechanic (or hug him) and think how lucky you are NOT to be a Bugatti Veyron owner. A tune-up is a paltry £12,866 or about $20,000. Click on the link below to go to the article.
