This car is a mismatch with an E-Type engine installed. Apparently the original engine is part of the deal but (the Seller says) "Down the road, it's a candidate for a full restoration because of all of the original parts.

In conjunction with the Historic Sports Car Club, three to four races are planned at prestigious race meetings around the UK, already confirmed are races at Silverstone, Oulton Park and Brands Hatch with another venue to follow and also one in Europe. The event format will consist of a practice session for qualifying and a minimum of a 30 minute race.

Unclear whether this Fixed Head Coupe XK 120 LUMP
reached a high of $70,000 and didn't sell or if the asking price was $70,000 and no takers. IMHO either way that's totally nuts regardless of how much money was spent restoring it.

I usually frown on these weird Jaguars but this one definitely has merit. I find it extremely attractive.The provenance is excellent. Apparently built in the Appleyard Works Dept.. It is presently for sale on eBay and has been several times before. The Item # is 130350103970

OK I goofed. I originally reported that there were two alloy XK 120 owned by members of the Jaguar Social Network. I was wrong. There are actually THREE
. The first one is from California, the second one is from Florida and the third is from Switzerland. How often do you see that? Enjoy.
